The role

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a business that is an integral part of New Zealand’s history and culture. Working for us will be both engaging and rewarding. We offer an environment that cares about you as a person and your career development. This is a role that will be highly stimulating and slightly different to your standard financial reporting role. You will have solid experience making complex financial information accessible.

In this role your responsibilities will include assisting the finance team with month end reporting as well as being involved with and be at the forefront of policy writing, grant writing and reporting and writing up proposal documents. You’ll also assist with editing and proof reading various other documents and written material. 

The role is an initial 6-month contract with the potential for this to become permanent. We welcome applications from candidates who are perhaps returning to the work force and will consider applications for both part-time and full-time hours. There is plenty of work here to keep you busy in a business that is easy to become passionate about.

The right person will have:

  • A financial reporting and writing background
  • A skill for writing proposals/policy documents including proof reading and editing 
  • A high level of attention to detail 
  • The ability to build relationships 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Strong respect for Māori tikanga and te reo Māori.

Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000
