Current affairs with John Campbell.

Girl Guide biscuits have earned a special place in New Zealand’s culinary history. They’ve been around for 50 years and two million packets will be sold this year. They are a big fundraising source for the guiding movement but a Nelson High School has banned Girl Guide biscuits from being sold on its grounds. Garin College Principal John Boyce says the biscuits are too sugary and don't fit with the school's healthy food policy. We speak with Jill Tomlinson, the Executive Director for Guides NZ who stands by its tried and true product. And to discuss it further we’re joined by Garin College’s Principal John Boyce and Celia Murphy from Obesity Action Coalition.

Bill boards are under attack, some members of the Auckland City Council want to ban outdoor advertising from the central business district. They’ve argued the signs are a distracting eyesore, business interests say the suggested blanket ban is petty bureaucracy gone mad. We sent Jacquie Brown downtown to judge for herself what the fuss is about.

And it’s a bit of a mystery but its made life extremely difficult for a proportion of the Auckland population. In parts of the North Shore and Whangaparoa area dozens of people have reported an annoying humming sound but not everyone can hear it. So far no one has been able to trace the source of the strange, pulsating drone. Reporter Claire Silvester caught up with a sufferer and a scientist who has been trying figure it out.

Two New Zealand deep sea divers have just become the first to visit and film the wreck of a ship that was sunk in violent circumstances during World War One by the Germans. A ship sunk not on the other side of the world but in New Zealand waters off Farewell Spit at the top of the South Island. Reporter Simon Shepherd has obtained the first video of the wreck."
