“Two months ago we met Lara Sutherland, a five-month-old baby who desperately needed a liver transplant. Lara's prognosis was pretty grim – in short, her condition was worsening fast. And then, completely out of the blue, she received the gift of life in the form of a liver.
Last year, just 25 New Zealanders donated organs.
