TEMPLETON, Nina, Interviewer
BUNKLE, Phillida, Interviewee

Nina Templeton speaks to women's rights campaigner Phillida Bunkle. Ms Bunkle says the legal system should be reformed and adequate legal remedies should be put in place for victims of medical negligence and malpractice. Her comments follow the case of a doctor who was fined $700 and costs of $10,000 by the Medical Council after he was accused of sterilising a woman without her consent. Ms Bunkle says New Zealanders are among the least protected medical consumers in the world, and the recent reforms to Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) have made the situation worse.
