Cadet N. Moffatt has just returned with eleven soldiers from Greece. He recounts his experiences on his trip to the Greek front.
The troops embarked on a liner for an uneventful trip to Greece. On their arrival in Athens the Greek people lined the roads cheering. The next morning, the soldiers marched down to a railway station and then travelled in cattle trucks for 24 hours. They arrived in a town, which has at the time of recording, fallen into German hands. The New Zealand soldiers were put to work defending a railways pass and digging in their defences.
