Shelker, Mr., Speaker/Kaikōrero

Captain Shelker of the NZAPS continues his description of the air raid on the port of Piraeus.

The enemy aircraft left, but there was no doubt that they would be back. The Chief Officer of the ship appointed Shelker and Shelker's cabin mate
as assistant medical officers. There was an Australian medical officer
on board but he may not have been able to handle all the possible cases.
Alarm bells rang again and an enemy aircraft circled round and dropped a
land mine which swerved off and exploded in a small dry dock. The fires in the harbour reminded Captain Shelker of the great fire in Napier after the 1931 earthquake. When the munitions ship blew up a portion of its boiler, weighing over six tons, crashed through the side of the ship.
