A news item (probably ex-Morning Report) about Prime Minister Robert Muldoon's anger at Justice Peter Mahon's criticism of his reaction to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the crash of the Air New Zealand DC10 on Mt Erebus in Antarctica.

Radio New Zealand chief parliamentary reporter Dick Griffin presents audio from a press conference with Mr Muldoon’s criticisms of Justice Mahon’s report and his interview with Sharon Crosbie.

He says Mahon's comments are out-of-character for a High Court judge, and the blanket accusation about the ‘orchestrated litany of lies’ that targets all Air New Zealand staff and particularly Chief Executive Morrie Davis.

Mr Muldoon says Justice Mahon has to be more specific in who he is attacking and raises doubts about Justice Mahon’s access to technical information during the hearing.
