Visit to clothing factory, Chamber of Commerce, luncheon, garden party, Investiture

- Roll of drums, Wall as Queen enters Civic Theatre for the investiture ceremony. National anthem.
- Arnold Wall commentates and speaks on the significance of Investiture.
- Aide calls Professor Gordon Bell to be knighted. Wall describes. Brigadier R. (Ronald) S. Park invested.
- Lady Helena Sidey and Dr. Helen Dean receive awards.
- Mr. William Packman receives the Imperial Service Medal, the last recipient of the day.
- Grace Green commentates as the royal car arrives at Lane Walker Rudkin's factory. Large crowd heard cheering. Queen and Duke of Edinburgh emerge from car. Describes the Queen's dress. Directors of the firm meet Queen who moves inside.
- Cyril Cook commentates as the Queen meets dignitaries in the vestibule.
- Bernard Kearns describes the scene as party enters the knitting room. Queen watching wool being wound. Double cable stitch machine. Queen and Duke chat to operatives.
- Kearns talking about three machines which make 3,500 dozen football jerseys a year.
- Kearns interviews Len Curtin, machine operator, about his work cutting cardigans. Duke spoke to him and he said "he seemed a very good chap".
- Kearns interviews a Dutch woman working in the factory who has been in NZ for two years and three months, after the Duke spoke to her. She relates what the Duke asked her.
- Airini Grennell describes the scene outside Nazareth House. She speaks about the work of Nazareth House. Excited children are lined up on the roadway. Royal car arrives, slows up, little girl presents a bouquet.
- Bob Irvine talks about the bouquet and interviews Anne Roberts who presented it.
- Airini Grennell interviews Mrs. Taylor, at 84 the oldest resident of Nazareth House, on her impressions of seeing the Queen.
- Jocelyn Hollis at garden party. Weather. The archery lawn. Trees. 4,000 people present, massed along the lawn. Six marquees to cater for crowd. Afternoon tea served an hour ago.
- Joan Gracie describes some of the clothes to be seen.
Describes the royal pavilion. Floral decorations, etc. Old rose afternoon tea set.
- Hollis as Queen approaches royal pavilion. Guard of honour of scouts and guides, along the lane. Queen arrives, describes dress.
