Murupaenga, Herewini, 1937- (b.1937), Interviewee

00.00 - 06.09: An unidentified woman interviews Selwyn Muru, an artist whose work is being exhibited together with other artists in Malaysia, Singapore and other parts of the world, one of the first times an exhibition of Māori traditional and modern art is being sent overseas.

He says that traditional Māori art stems from myths and legends. There is a similarity between Malaysian and Māori art, in that artists use brilliant colours. He prefers art that challenges the imagination.
