TE HUINGA WAKA is led by Muriwai Ihakara formly of the Waihīrere Club of Gisborne. Te Huinga Waka came from Australia to perform at the 1988 Aotearoa Festival of Arts.

Order of performance :-

CHORAL : Tukua ahau.

WHAKAEKE : Aotearoa whānui e.

WAIATA : "Tū Rā".

POI : Nō wai te hē, E hika mā, Auē! i te pō e.

WAIATA -A-RINGA : Auē Taukuri, ka aroha.

HAKA TAPARAHI : E ka rapu au, kā rapu au, ka titiro kei whaea rā.

WHAKAWĀTEA : He aha kē tēnei e werawera nei.
