This is a black and white silent home movie. This film begins with footage of a man dressed as a cowboy performing lariat tricks with a lasso. This is followed by scenic views which include a bridge and a town square with a clock tower. There is footage of the Government Gardens in Rotorua and scenic views of a lake.

The film shows a boy and girl posing for the camera by a that reads ‘Site of TE WAIROA (Buried Village)’. There is footage of the information panels at the site for the remains of the flour mill and a pātaka at the site. There are more scenic views of lakes, and a view of a campsite. There is footage shot from the water that shows the shore, a young tāne fishing, a fish being drawn up and the bow of the boat cutting through the water.
