He whaikōrero tēnei nā Henare Tūwhāngai i tētehi hui i Tūrangawaewae, i tētehi hui e pā ana ki ngā tikanga, ngā kawa o ngā mihi. He kōrero i ngā kawa kei runga i ngā marae o Waikato me Ngāti Maniapoto.
Explains the kaupapa that MASPAC called this hui: for elders to come together to explain kawa, tikanga etc.
An artists hui was held at Takapūwāhia, followed by a weavers conference at Tokomaru, and then a tutor’s hui was held, for poi, haka, action songs and waiata. Hui were held for benefit of all Māori.
Te Kumeroa Ngoingoi Pēwhairangi helped to organise these hui programmes. Notes it is important that the right tutors be asked to attend each hui, as nominated by local areas.
Ihaka hopes that everyone will take an active part, and that when participants return to their areas that they will share the information with all of the clubs in their districts.
Ka mutu i tētehi waiata (kāore e mōhio ko wai).
