A comedy series based on a social rugby team, written by Kevin Boon.

Taken from the DVD back sleeve:-

This series was recorded at the Avalon TV Centre in Lower Hutt during 1976. A second series was planned and written, but never recorded...

A bit like a “Dad’s Army” for rugby followers, the series screened to much controversy. People either loved it or hated it...

This was one of the first TV comedies recorded in front of a studio audience. Looking back the programmes gave a great feeling for the sport of rugby in New Zealand just before the fateful 1981 South African tour, and its eccentricities seem to have mellowed with age.
Peter Coates, Producer.
