This episode of Sunday looks at the ClayAzArt symposium held in Rotorua in 1991. The symposium was sponsored by the Art Gallery and Museum of Northern Arizona and featured potters, ceramicists and ceramic artists from the United States of America exhibiting their works and discussing and displaying their techniques including, forming, glazing and firing. The symposium also hosted the Annual General Meeting of the New Zealand Society of Potters and served as an opportunity to review pottery trends in Aotearoa across the 20th Century.
