Jim Barr, co-curator of the exhibition ‘Fear’ held at the New Zealand Film Archive’s Film Centre, May to July 2000, talks about the exhibition and the three films it examines: ‘Kitchen Sink’ (Alison MacLean,1989 ), ‘Mr Wrong’ (Gaylene Preston, 1985) and ‘The Irrefutable Truth About Demons’ (Glenn Standring, 2000). Gaylene Preston and Glenn Standring speak briefly about the role of suspense in their films and in New Zealand film more generally.

Interviews are interspersed with sound bites from the films.
