Today's episode tension between Scotty and Shanti continues when they can't agree on what they want in a house, they meet a mortgage broker and are deflated when their home buying plans fall apart due to lack of cash for a deposit, Scotty convinces Shanti that they need to lower their sights, she agrees to consider some lower rent properties but makes it clear that she isn't about to consider buying a dump, Scotty takes issues with Shanti's attitude and infuriates her when he argues that he is the primary investor so he gets to make the final decision, aware that her disturbed sleeping is keeping Kip awake, Tracey offers to stay at her place, Kip urges her to stay over despite this, Tracey discovers Kip catching up on some sleep in an empty ward, and again offers to stay at her house for the night, but Kip is determined to help solve her sleep problems, TK is curious when Chris asks him to go easy on Brooke because she has had a tough time recently, when Brooke's real surname is printed in the newspaper gossip column, TK and Alice do some background research to find out how tough her life has been, Chris discusses his loneliness, Sarah urges him not to do anything drastic, assuring him that love will find him, Gerald is intrigued when a patient, Sybil, asks to see Brooke Marsden, whose photo she saw in a paper, Brooke beings the consultation with Sybil and discovers that Sybil's husband was a victim of her father's fraud, the meeting turns sour, TK walks in on the meeting and witnesses Sybil's attack on Brooke, Brooke fears that she will never live down the past, TK comforts Brooke again and he feels as though he has done the right thing.
