The fete was held at Mr Solomon's residence in Dunedin, Saturday, 25 October 1919, in aid of the Karitane Harris Home.
Following notes from the Otago Daily Times 27.10.1919:
Glorious display of Spring colour over 5 acres of property. Numerous stalls amply supplied with attractive goods: art stall, flower stall, cake stall, lollie stall, jumble stall, produce stall, soft-drink stall, fortune telling tent, Punch & Judy show, and afternoon tea marquee. St Kilda band provided pleasant music. Girl and Boy Scouts made themselves useful. Daffodils were sent from Lawrence for sale on the day. The Government matched the money raised pound for pound.
