A documentary that examines how New Zealand could become the world’s first organic nation by dispensing with chemical pesticides.

“Rubber Gloves Or Green Fingers has been called the most controversial documentary ever made in New Zealand. After commissioning and approving its final contents, Television New Zealand refused to screen it. This censorship was attacked in the press and Parliament. Under pressure from senior politicians the documentary was finally screened on prime time television in 1997. Since the screening there has been a surge in interest in organic farming in New Zealand.” (written by Tim Hanna)

Interviews with:
Dr. Ricky Gorringe, General Practitioner.
Max Levett, farm worker.
Edward Goldsmith, publisher “the Ecologist”.
