The recording begins with a Radio New Zealand news report followed by a programme marking the 25th anniversary of the sinking of the Wahine in Wellington Harbour and presented by Wayne Mowat. The sinking took place on April 10, 1968.
Includes interview with Roxanne Gadarro, a researcher from Top Shelf Productions who made television documentary "The Wahine - the untold story"; Alex Neill, weather forecaster at the time when the storm hit; Jo Arkley, historian, involved in the rescue; Phil Dean, steward; Louella Jensen - her singing and comforting the passengers; Paddy O'Donnell, reporter for the NZBC; Peter Bush, photographer.
