Interview: Richard Mann in Irian Jaya.
For the past eight years Richard Mann has been living and working in Indonesia. He is the brother of rugby league player, Duanne Mann, and of Ngāti Kahungungu and Tuhoe descent. Richard has been involved in exploratory drilling for minerals such as gold and copper.
He is currently working in Irian Jaya where the indigenous people are often described as 'the enduring primitives.' Richard is interviewed via satellite radio telephone. He speaks about when he went to Indonesia, his time there and about his job.

A young man with Ngāti Raukawa affiliations is involved with set designing for major films being produced here. His studio is a former church, which he has relocated to Grey Lynn.
Inia Taylor joins the programme: He talks about his work, his film-making and trying to encourage Māori to try the film-making craft and all the behind-the-scenes work needing gifted people.
