This film surveys the Māori way of life around different tribal areas and popular tourist spots of the North Island.
Featured are groups performing the haka, poi, action songs; waka racing; waka hurdling; mati-mati; weaving; whakairo and various other cultural activities of the Māori. Two kuia with the moko also appear in the film. The Māori melodies / waiata and re-enactments were supervised by Guide Rangi of Whakarewarewa.
