The film is in fragments of a few seconds' duration. Apart from numerous items from the French sector of the Western Front and the Italian Front, there are three main themes. One is French forces in north Africa (or possibly Palestine) on patrol. The second is a visit of General Sir William Robertson to New Zealand officer cadets training in Saint John's College, Cambridge, with film of the King's College choirboys. The third is a French parade through a village in Alsace, including a girl in traditional costume handing a French soldier a flower.
