“Waiting till we Meet Again, Freda”
This is the poignant message on the grave of young actress Thelma Trott, who was poisoned in the 1930s by her musician husband, Eric Mareo because of her lesbian affair with dancer Freda Stark.

“Stiletto”
A dagger was found in the Wellington home of Italian Louis Chemis that helped convict him of the murder of his landlord, but it is now widely accepted that he was not guilty. Racial prejudice appears to have been a factor in this case.
