Perkins, Jack (b.1940), Interviewer

Part one of a two-part documentary.

Betty Bennett was the first police woman to be promoted to the rank of Inspector. In the first of two Spectrum documentaries she talks with Jack Perkins about her work in the New Zealand Police in the 1950s and early 1960s.

She gives details about her work in undercover operations against sly grogging (during the era of 6 o'clock closing) and illegal gambling dens in Auckland.
