“Iris is internationally famous with a life of achievements - but her darker side leads her to despair.” - New Zealand Film Commission; www.nzfilm.co.nz/film/iris; 31/01/2014.

Under the pen name of Robin Hyde, New Zealander Iris Wilkinson earned a reputation as a writer of great originality and power. She also gained a reputation for flamboyance and total disregard for the conventions of her day. This film has two levels - one the life of writer Iris Wilkinson, the other a group of filmmakers making a film about her life.
