We are committed to being transparent about our use of AI and disclosing where we have used it to support our mahi. Our use of AI will always be accompanied by a disclaimer that the image or text has been AI-generated and what AI tool was used.
Our AI use is aligned with our ethics:
- Tika: doing what is right
- Aroha: empathy and genuine concern
- Pono: integrity and trustworthiness
- Hono: connection and collaboration
- Tangata: value and benefit to others
We manage our AI use by maintaining a register of approved AI tools, ensuring that AI-generated outputs are checked for accuracy by a qualified human, and restricting the type of information we use in AI tools. We remain committed to honouring the principle of tino rangatiratanga and the integrity of data sovereignty when working with AI.
