Ngā Taonga is the audiovisual archive for Aotearoa New Zealand and an independent Charitable Trust committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Mō Mātou | About Us
The Customer Supply team has responsibility for sharing our collection with various stakeholders. This includes servicing our agreements with leading NZ broadcasters through to providing in-person assistance with researchers and other visitors at our public space at the National Library in Wellington.

We’re looking for someone who is curious about New Zealand history, and who enjoys working with others and establishing relationships. Our ideal candidate will be able to balance curiosity with a busy customer request workload.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous customer service experience, ideally in an office environment
- Clear and concise written communication skills
- Demonstrated drive for results and keenness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team
- An outgoing personality and will join in the team culture
- High level ability using MS Office
- Comfortable operating in a tikanga / kaupapa Māori environment.
Ko ngā whāinga o te tūranga: | The role will see you:
In this role you will facilitate access to our archival collections to a wide range of stakeholders. We support the mahi of documentary makers, museums, iwi and community organisations, educational institutions and the general public. You will connect and collaborate with teams across our organisation and with external stakeholders, researching and using problem solving to achieve agreed results.
The role will see you:
- Respond to internal and external requests for access to the collections
- Prioritise requests according to key strategies
- Undertake rights clearances to respond to requests for access
- Create, manage and retrieve digital data for collection items
- Draft and negotiate supply agreements.
This is an office-based role located in Pipitea, with flexibility and a full-time nine-day fortnight.
The salary band for the role is: $71,811 - $84,484 + superannuation.
