The theme of this edition is travel: travel to Europe on a new service; a direct shipping connection with the Netherlands; discussing growth of business people's interest in New Zealand, to Russia with pictures, to Hong Kong in a tug and also the Christmas season.

Side 1: Morris Turner interviews two Dutch shipping company directors, Mr P. deJong and Mr A. van Boekhove [?] who discuss a new direct shipping service to and from the Netherlands. Mr deJong says the large number of Dutch immigrants to New Zealand means there is support for the direct shipping service.

Artist E. Mervyn Taylor talks about his trip with other artists to art exhibitions at Moscow, America, France and the United Kingdom. He talks about other shows and historic landmarks he saw and gives some background to his woodcarving exhibits.

Side 2: The Manila tug 'Cabrilla' has arrived in New Zealand after an 84 day voyage to prepare to tow barges to and from Hong Kong. Captain Dunsford of Auckland is interviewed in Nelson on the history of the tug and the crew.

Padre Herdegen [?] of the Wellington City Mission speaks about the work of the missions and the preparations for Christmas. He recalls a performance from the Titahi Bay choir who sang carols for the elderly people and their upcoming Christmas party.
