Noel Palmer introduces a series of recorded tracks of Christmas at No 2
General Hospital. The series includes carol singing by a Māori party ("Silent Night" in English and Māori organised by Nurse Wiki Katene), a talk about the celebrations and decorations by the Commanding Officer, Colonel Spencer (Christmas tree and Santa Claus provided by Red Cross and Captain Austin, Mrs Blackford and Lady Lampson).
Then Captain Frank Hutter introduces Nurse Wiki Katene and a group of Māori patients who sing 'Tama Ngākau Mārie'. She introduces several speakers who send greetings in Māori to different iwi, hapu and localities:(names transcribed as heard unless verified via the 28 Māori Battalion roll)
