Blends of the Pacific; smooth sounds of the Samoan and Rarotongan Community. A mix of music, community news, singing and talking, with topics happening around the island community, incorporating the many Pacific communities we represent. We are still trying to get our Fijian, Solomon and Tokelauan brothers and sisters to join, but we sometimes have them as our guests. When hosting the evening it's like sitting around in the Meeting House (Falefono) chatting about what’s happening in the community and globally, and also playing our sweet sounds of the Pacific, which brings our people to reminisce about the ISLANDS....

About Us:
This Pasefika Radio programme came from an idea by the people at JNL, where there are many of our Pacific people working at the saw mill. This would be a great opportunity for giving back to the island community, and so they arranged with Arrow FM to air a Pasefika Radio show, with Samoan and many other of our Pacific brothers and sisters. When they approached us (Tui and Georgina) we went and asked Mata Emile, our Rarotongan sister, and offered her to share the programme, and so we formed Pasefika Radio. And here we are. Years later we are still hosting our show. Good thing about our Pasifika Radio – if you missed the live show, there’s a repeat on the Tuesday evening from 8pm. A big THANK YOU goes out to JNL (Juken NZ Ltd.) who gave us this opportunity to share our language with our people in the local community. This wouldn't be possible without the guidance and respect JNL has for their Island community.
