Hills AM is the Otago Community Access Radio station which has existed since 1990. There are three full-time staff, and the rest of the work, including continuity voice breaks, is done by volunteers.
Two half hour programmes:
Tk 1, TAPESTRY CLUBHOUSE produced by the Schizophrenia Fellowship, broadcast 1.30pm - 2pm every second Thursday. A range of music throughout introduced by different people, 05'30" Karen McFee, field worker for SF (Supporting Families in mental illnesses) is interviewed about her job, then more music. 14'00" Some religious readings, music then more from Karen, and more music. Ends 29'25"
Tk 2, SHAKEN NOT STIRRED, a cocktail of what's new at Dunedin Public Libraries, every second Tuesday 4.30pm - 5pm, repeated the following Monday at 5pm. Music, talking about books, CDs, videos and magazines, news about library events & internet information. This edition broadcast on Waitangi Day 2001. Stories and music about early NZ, Napier earthquake, short story reading, te reo reading. Programme ends abruptly.
