Plains FM96.9 is operated by the Canterbury Communications Trust to provide facilities for community access and educational broadcasting.
Two half-hour programmes:

Tk 1, CATHOLICS ON AIR, involving Barbara Te Miha, Reon Murtha, Dorothea McKenzie. In this programme, Bishop John Selby Spong, a leading spokesman for liberal Christianity, is interviewed by Ruth Todd. Broadcast 23 November 2003. Duration 29'20"

Tk 2, EARTHWISE, sponsored by the Community Trust and Organics to You, and hosted by Lois and Martin Griffiths. This programme features electronic waste and a small Christchurch organisation, Molten Media Trust, which recycles computer monitors and other discarded electronic parts. Electronics technician Allan Liefting and Trustee Richard Rowe are interviewed.
