The provenance of these recordings is unclear. All fifteen discs are without paper labels. The lacquer stock is an unusual type with a red centre and the B-side is blank, without any lacquer coating. They appear to be a wartime jazz concert recording, probably made in Italy for an audience of American and New Zealand soldiers. Performers include Jack Benny, Wini Shaw, Anna Lee and Larry Adler. Two very short reject cuts with the voice of Arch Curry indicate that these discs may have been made by, or given to, the Mobile recording unit. Some parts are not held in collection.
