Mangatū from Te Tairāwhiti was one of two groups that represented that area.

Their order of performance is as follows:

1. CHORAL : E te Atua.
2 WHAKAEKE : Taku patu taku patu
3. WAIATA TAWHITO : Popo
4. WAIATA-A-RINGA : Te Reo karanga
5. PŌĪ : Te rere aku poi.(original comp. Te Ruahuihui Tīhore)
6. HAKA TAPARAHI : Kura Tīwaka.
