Recording of a radio broadcast from the launch of the Auckland Anglican Māori Club's LP "He Tangata", at the office of RNZ's Te Reo o Aotearoa in Papatoetoe, Auckland.

(The double album launched was recorded in Te Reo o Aotearoa's studios and produced by Hēnare Te Ua.)

Hēnare Te Ua commentates throughout the pōwhiri, explaining the significance of the items and translating the whaikōrero. The pōwhiri group is Te Waka Huia.

Karanga and haka pōwhiri: Te urunga tū.

Kaikōrero: Wiremu Kerekere, Māori consultant with the Broadcasting Corporation of New Zealand.

Waiata: Kawe a te Ruawharo e.

Kaikōrero: Mr. Ray Bussey (Senior Executive of R.C.A. New Zealand, the album's distributors.) He welcomes the Auckland Anglican Māori Club and Archdeacon Ihaka to R.C.A. This is their first album. He also congratulates Rado New Zealand's studio team as this is the first time digital recording equipment has been used in New Zealand. It is hoped the album will be successfully released in Australia and the United States.

Kaikōrero: Earle Rowell (Auckland District Manager, Radio New Zealand)
He pays tribute to the club, Archdeacon Ihaka and Hēnare Te Ua for conceiving and producing the album, the first double album by a Māori group.

Waiata: Haere mai a Paoa.

Kaikōrero: Archdeacon Kingi Ihaka. He says he will be promoting the album when he returns to Sydney. He speaks about the interest in Māori radio programmes in Australia, with programmes on air in Adelaide, Melbourne and shortly a bi-lingual programme will launch in Sydney, called "Te Kupu."
He also greets Radio New Zealand and expresses his hope that a Māori radio station will soon be set up in Auckland.
