PAMELA COMES TO PLAY, 1946
A story within a story. Pamela comes over, and all the children play ‘hospital’ together, with each child acting out a different part in the role play.

PICNIC, 1949
The Whanganui Cine Club picnic at Okenui, the day’s activities include cooking sausages, eeling and games for the children, including apple bobbing.

ROYAL VISIT, WANGANUI, SWIMMING, WANGANUI’S LAST TRAM ca1950-1954 excerpt
The “Royal Visit”, and the streets are decorated with flower-covered arches. Crowds of people, including school children and marching girls turn out to greet the Royals.
Children compete in swimming races in a local pool; a large crowd gathers as an old steam train (‘Puffing Billy’) leads a parade of bands and floats down the street. These are followed by the city’s new fleet of buses.

While on holiday in Kawhia, the family decide to compare a day in Auckland to a day in Kawhia. They decide that Kawhia has everything, so going to Auckland was a waste of a day.

BALLET SHOES, 1955
A film about a little girl who is supposed to be tidying her dress up box. Instead, she daydreams, picking up each ballet costume and remembering the dance it was worn for.

THE WEDDING, 1967
The wedding of Nancy’s daughter Ruth. The reception was held in the Cameron’s garden in Wickstead Street.
