This amateur movie is part of a collection of 8mm films made by WE Thompson.
It is estimated the film was shot in 1961 and contains scenes of the Farmers car parking building in Auckland. Farmers opened a service station in the car park, the “Lubritorium” which offered customer service and discounted petrol while people shopped in the Farmers department store.
It also has shots of a man examining a damaged car tyre of an unusual sort.
