Lake Taupo in the central North Island is fed by waterways and streams from the nearby mountains. The most famous of these is the river Tongariro; a Māori name which means, “carried away on the south wind”. To catch the trout that swim here, a fisherman needs patience - and the right kind of fly. This film covers the joy of fishing and the art of fly-making using feathers imported from England.
