The story of the Tasman pulp and paper mill at Kawerau. The stages of the production of newsprint are shown. There’s an opening ceremony of additions to the complex in 1963 with the Govenor- General Sir Bernard Ferguson, the PM Keith Holyoake and the Leader of The Opposition Arnold Nordmeyer. There are scenes of the new town of Kawerau and the Kaiangaroa Forest pine plantation .
