Bob Charles: (1954) The young Bob Charles, bank clerk from Masterton plays golf at Heretaunga. Loses to Tim Woon (NZ) and wins against Australian Peter Thompson. The 18 year old receives the cup watched by spectators.

New Services: Wanganui airport's first passengerAnnual Shows flight. Ceremony of dignitaries including, Sir Leonard Isett and Mayor of Wanganui, Mr Edward Alan Millward. Shows flight by mayor and citizens, freight plane and its use for household removals.
Annual Shows: The Hastings A&P Show - display of exhibits, prefabricated steel farm buildings, a cradle spinner for sheepshearing, a top dressing display, horses etc. The A&P in Palmerston North - featuring a cow parade.

The Elections: The activities surrounding the election are described with a whimsical, rhyming commentary on the 1954 election. Features Walter Nash (Labour), Sidney Holland and Hilda Ross (National) and Mr Owen (Social Credit). Shows voters arriving at the Polling Booth and a group huddled around the radio at home listening to the election night results. Good shots of TAB, drinking beer, polling booth and electoral meeting.
