A training film emphasising the importance of planning in television production. Follows BBC drama director, Christopher Barry, through each stage of planning for the series "Z cars," beginning with initial script and proceeding to more elaborate studio plans. Shows actors in rehearsal on location at council flats and being filmed in the studio.
