Part 3 Continuation of speech of welcome by The Prime Minister of NZ,
the Right Honorable Mr Fraser. Mention is made by the Prime Minister of
the achievements of Lieut. Moananui-a-Kiwa Ngarimu from Ruatoria in Gisborne and that "other Sergeant of the Māori Battalion" (Manahi?) and " if he and his companions don't get the VC, they deserve it".

The Prime Minister then called Gen. Freyberg to address the gathering.
General Freyberg spoke about the achievements of the NZ troops under his
command in particular at Mersa Matru.
