Part one of the radio quiz show "It's In The Bag" with Selwyn Toogood, from the Dannevirke Town Hall in 1955. No commercials included, but good "R-I-N-S-O" shout at beginning by the audience [Rinso soap powder was one of the show's sponsors].

Contestants guess "The Thing" for prizes such as Rotochef infra-red cooker, Masport motor mower, Electrolux vacuum cleaner, Remington electric shavers etc. Contestant Kelvin Monteith wins a motor mower.
Contestants Isabel Magnusson, Ken Meachem and Jean Patterson win minor prizes.

Contestant Sally Manus [?] finally gets to go for a bag [excellent version of Toogood's haggling, finally offering 29 pounds ten shillings.] She takes the bag, and after prolonged asides from Toogood he announces she has won Feltex carpet to the value of 125 pounds.

[His catchphrase "By Hokey" not included but a good "What do you think customers?" is].
