Dr. Roger Ridley-Smith is a retired Wellington GP, a former chairman of the General Practitioners' Society and former Wellington City Councillor. He has just completed a first class honours degree in French, and talks to Kim Hill about his love of the French way of life and the transcription he did of a diary kept by a Frenchman during the First World War.
