This tape contains nine episodes of Over My Shoulder produced throughout 1987 and 1988 by Alwyn Owen. The episode synopsis are as follows:

1. Intimations of Immortality - Hop Owen recalls his Sunday School days; 1.10.87; 7'07".

2. Bosses and Workers - Hop Owen talks about his early radio days; 23.11.87; 6'57".

3. The Pink Candle - Hop recalls an anecdote from the West Coast in which a humble pink mining candle is sold for a high price in a local pub; 30.11.87; 5'03".

4. The Great Photographer - Hop talks about the early process of photography using a Thornton Pickard camera and glass plate negatives; 9.1.88; 5'52".

5. Arms and the Boy - Hop talks about his boyhood experiences with guns, from shangais to rifle-range shooting at school and to the death of a favourite teacher in the war; 16.1.88; 6'12".

6. Remembering Colwyn Dane - Hop recalls the heroes from his boyhood in the 1930s including Colwyn Dane a detective, Fireworks Flynn a sportsmaster and Rockfist Rogan a boxer; 23.1.88; 6'47".

7. The Bounty of Tangaroa - Hop talks about Spring on the West Coast in the 1950's, about whitebaiting, Tuhura Tinui and the Arahura River; 20.2.88; 6'53".

8. Remembering Apples - Hop talks about an old Whangarei identity, Apples, who was always out to make a quick buck; 29.2.88; 6'59".

9. The Sound of Music - This programme focuses on music... there is a recording of Fijian music from 1970; a piece from the Kokatahi Band, with anecdote; and a recording of a polyphone in Sweetwater out of Kaitaia courtesy of Dick Jurlina; 12.3.88; 6'42".
