Side 1. Part 1
M.R. Jones presents the funeral programme from the studio. Speaking in both Māori and English Charles Bennett broadcasts from the ceremony held on the marae of Turangawaewae Pa, Ngaruawahia, "Throughout the week the multitudes have come from the four winds to pay their last respects to Te Puea, one of her greatest daughters and today Sunday 19th October her remains will be laid to rest alongside those of her kingly ancestors...". The official funeral party, including the Right Honorable Prime Minister, the Honorable Mr Corbett, the Minister of Māori Affairs, the Honorable Mrs Ross and Mrs Ratana, MP for Western Māori, are accompanied onto the marae by the elders of Waikato and receive a formal welcome. Wreaths are laid by the Prime Minister and Mr Corbett, the visitors are seated and prepare to receive three host speakers.

Side 2. Part 3
Charles Bennett narrates in both English and Māori from the marae of Turangawaewae Pa, Ngaruawahia and the sacred burial ground of the Māori kings, Mount Taupiri, Waikato. Bennett describes the funeral procession, led by the casket, as it makes its way to its final resting place accompanied by the Turangawaewae band. The procession includes many prominent leaders and representatives from the Māori community (their names and canoes are listed), family, parliament, international figures and the general public in their masses. The service and committal is performed by Reverend D.R. Laurenson on Mount Taupiri.
