Arch Curry of the New Zealand Mobile Broadcasting Unit introduces short, personal messages from New Zealanders serving in a Spitfire wing of the Royal Air Force, at an aerodrome near Cassino in Italy. The messages were recorded for broadcast back home.

Messages are heard from Leighton Montgomery - Sentry Hill, New Plymouth, Morrie Cooper - Devonport, Bob Aubrey - North Otago, Pat Newman - Timaru, Ced Young - Bulls and Alan Condon - Mosgiel.
