8. Pacific leaders have ruled out legalising same sex marriage. Both the Samoa Prime Minister, Tuilaepa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi, and the Fiji Prime Minister, Frank Bainimarama, told local media that legalising same-sex marriage would not be considered because it is against religious beliefs.
