A telephone interview with the New Zealand cricket captain Geoff Howarth on Australian umpiring and the underarm bowling incident which occurred at the end of the one-day match between New Zealand and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 01 Feb 1981.

He says he protested to the umpire at the time, as he mistakenly thought underarm bowling was illegal worldwide, but apparently it is only outlawed in England.

He says he was a little disappointed in the standard of Australian umpiring.
