Two episodes of the chart show 'Gather Round" hosted by Neville Chamberlain.
The first features an edited Top 10 singles chart for the first ten minutes, followed by a live broadcast from The White Heron Lodge in Wellington with the results of the 1965 Loxene Golden Disc and APRA Silver Scroll Awards. [This was the first time the awards had been made.]
Director-General of Broadcasting Gilbert Stringer speaks first about the growth of the local recording industry and the part played in the industry by the NZBC.

The APRA Silver Scroll Award for 1965 is awarded to Mr Wayne Kent Healey, composer of "Teardrops". He speaks briefly.

Mr Harris, chairman of Reckitt and Coleman New Zealand, speaks and presents the Loxene Golden Disc for 1965 to Ray Columbus and the Invaders.

Ray Columbus speaks and thanks everyone for the success of "Til We Kissed." Neville Chamberlain says Ray Columbus has to rush back to Auckland because his wife is having a baby.

"Til We Kissed" is then played.

In the second programme, the 1966 Loxene Golden Disc Award is won by Maria Dallas. Gives musical examples of other entrants.

Presented by Neville Chamberlain.
